Prince Kolawole Asatola Asanike Finally Declares his Senatorial Aspiration.
As the 2023 general elections approaches and citizens are on the lookout for credible candidate to give their support to, Prince Kolwole Asatola Asanike, a son to the late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Yesufu Asanike, has disclosed his intention to vie for the Oyo South Senatorial seat.
While speaking to newsmen at his Ibadan residence on Wednesday, 26th of January in the company of his political associates, Prince Asatola emphasised on the urgent need for wealth redistribution across the different classes of people in the society.
Prince Asatola who is a world class trained accountant, a serial entrepreneur and a consultant to multinational organisations, hails from Ibadan South East Local Government Areaof Oyo State. He is confident that his constituents can be liberated from the rather unfortunate social crisis bedeviling our society.
Speaking on the issue of employment, he said; "What is happening right now is job enforcement rather than job creation". Job creation is creating an avenue where people will have positive insights on the field they are willing to explore. You can't force everyone to go to the farm or ask them to control traffic. What we need is put in place legislation that will induce self development.
Prince Asatola is not new to politics. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and will be contesting on the platform. He was active during the NADECO struggle physically and also contributed financially while he was away to study abroad. He also consulted for the Oyo State government during Sen Abiola Ajimobi tenure and haven seen what a cerebral person like him can put in place, it gave him a solid reason to also contribute his own quota to the society from his vast experience.
" To move up from the status quo, all hands must be on deck. I therefore enjoin the people of Oyo South Senatorial District to make informed decision on who they choose to represent them in the upcoming elections. Let's put round pegs in round holes", he submitted.
