A PRESS STATEMENT
The emergence of the Distinguished Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, deserves special celebration
For those of us who are quite familiar with his track records as a public officer, his recent election as our party chairman, couldn't come to us as a surprise
In his over four decades in politics, Abdullahi Adamu, has always left indelible marks in whatever assignment that was given to him
He holds the enviable record of never lossing any political contest, in the over four decades of active participation in politics
His pedigree as a public administrator and shrewd business man was clearly demonstrated when he served as a two term executive governor of Nasarawa state, between 1999-2007.
Under him, Nasarawa was placed among the most effectively governed state in Nigeria
His vast political experience has more than prepared him for the new job, as National Chairman of the APC
He is known for courage and forthrightness, and never tolerates sycophants. He is a man of integrity and highly patriotic about Nigeria
All his public life, Abdullahi Adamu has always been a team player, who values people with the right type of ideas
He is humane and a believer in equity and fairness, being attributes that are urgently needed in any leader that will pilot the affairs of the APC
His election at this critical time, is therefore not only timely, but, also a huge blessing to the entire APC family, for he is capable of turning the fortunes of the party around and making it stronger
I therefore celebrate a man if accomplished record, as a public officer and consumate business man.
I call on all true lovers of our party, APC to join hands with his excellency, distinguished Senator Abdullahi Adamu, to pilot the affairs of our great party to higher levels.
